Srilankan crisis and the attack on the team has posed huge concerns in my mind for us...India. How ?
Srilanka is a continent in conflict form within and now as things finally seem to be in control..we start getting information, newspaper clippings that elements from within India (Tamilnadu) are openly supporting the seperatists...trying to ride the tiger. The attack on the team is a validation of the power struggle that is going on between the corrupt government and the Taliban infilterated army . the Mutiny in Bangladesh clearly indicates that the armed forces of these 2 nations are being infilterated...and that the infiltrators have a direct link with the LTTE WHO HAVE DRIRECT SUPPORT from elements within INDIA...so in its normal course of time...hiw much time do you think will it take for the circle to turn its head on us...di I forget that Burma and Nepal have already gone the China way...what are we left with...Japan and Australia who are heavily invested in China have no political will to accelarate their already sliding fortunes by getting onto our bandwagon...US is too spread, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Recession and seem to be looking for out support rather than vice varsa...Israel...too stuck with a no win situation in Ghaza and has enough frontiers of their own...so what are we left with??
A majority of the 1 billion plus people who believe in Indian, Indianism and are fearful and frustated of the future...oh..our leaders (if thats not the most misued word already) are planning for the future..not for INDIA but the power grabbing at the elections...againg a seeminlgy weak body in perpetual self denial or some in cuhoots already....Powerindia..needs thinkers and whole lot os smart people...some who can do more than write blogs...money...and i have a framework to put foward.

Its almost an irony that what I envision what India needs today was happening to the US on TV, new blood, a good orater, a visionary and of course a set plan rolled out with a sense of complete control and authority. Observing the wrinkled faces across the senate, some eyes wide open and the others in strained concentration , it was clear that the winds of change were not escaping any...and a new era of hope as well and the old guard were at loggerheads. Change for the sake of change does not usually last and soon becomes the system itself. Change if sought in the thought process is a great place to start and then a structure setin to sustain change is where the mighty fail and fall. I believe it is time for some of us who seek another dimension to our lives thats at a level that needs time and commitment ....must come together to at least brainstorm on what we could be to a nation that we call home, to a life that we want preserved and to our own selves where we want personal growth. uneasy are the heads that wear the crown....or are shot down....i do wear such a head....am looking for likeminded souls.

Me and My beliefs

All of 42 years, I have lived what we call, a "normal life ", education, parties, jobs ...and doing the jobs for over 20 years their are beliefs and skill sets that seem to converge today ...dig a little and my professional career though on a good high has been a journey of constant self evalutaion, a strife for independent ambitions...starting my journey as a hotelier, I was managing sales a first for Sofitel Surya and then the Park hotel chains and with the team responsible for a complete transformation business wise, product wise and positioning wise...that I think was my true calling in my career...build, or turnaround from scratch. Something I think I took well from my parents, who are both retired doctors. After 10 years of doins so, I ventured to build a professionals network (just about the time when Devang Mehta was setting up Nasscom) my aim was to impact carrers and quality if life for professionals by bringing them and their families together, give them an opportunity to network, and learn and enjoy...as a 32 year old, i chucked up my job got good success 200 members in the first year...over 75 ceos, coos, 11 diplomats, doctors, lawyers, Government guys etc and then the mind was swayed (swayed as i look back today) by the dotcom possibilities and what a journey that was...for all of 1.5 years we changed the business plans and soon the survival plans till the world said no more....took a step back and jumped into the next shinning star ..the BPO industry...10 years down the line with a lineup of successful and a few painful experiences, i was in my small humble state ready to take this business to the next level and also ensure that India remains the superpower if this industry....as a non software trained person, trained from the outside...the business applications of the software part.....i got operations + software integrated and a design that can automate all functions of the and provide huge cost savings to all operations...even to non BPO today....with this concept in hand i got venture funding to launch a unique consulting company where software , consulting eperience, analytics and six sigma are now combined to offer an altogether next level of managing an outsourcing operations of managing a vendor strategically....here i am..ready to take this to the world as outsourcing is not confined to a geography...can I be an infosys of outsourcing...i dare to dream....but the mind is NOT AT REST...was in Mumbai when the 26/11 struck, my partner was a close friend of the top cops who got killed and so shared inadvertently some of the anxious moments but by and large realized how fragile it could be to live a life of an INDIAN. It just takes a few moments of TV time or media time to realize the depth of the seriousness of where we are and where we could be soon....as you take off the hype part of the media...lies exposed the massive forces from outside and within to threaten of what the world sees as the second fastest growing economy...3 days of terrorism wiped out 2 qurters of tourism in India....9 men could destablaize a 1 plus billion people country for a week and till today so what about thousands of them now safetly camping in swat a stones throw from the capital of Pakistan.(a nuclear power)...I look within ...to a cop on the road, how ready does he seem to takeon whats surely coming his way...to the elections manifestos,to the every changing politcal alliances in the newspapers ...to the fake currency that is now normally emerging at the counters of our top banks, to the recession that is taking down the once mighty business houses, to naxalites staking claims on the land by simply perching up a red flag and thats it ....the way our generals fought the Kargil war...some of them took off to a foreign land for a tour ....while frontline ranks were murdered...and listen to similar thoughts, noises around me..educated, aware, confused, hopeful some and hopeless most to know that we are LIVING ON BORROWED time...prosperity does not live in the land of insecurity...and that has never been more real than it is today. a friend on the blog commented, lack of leadership, another lack of a platform and yeat we are a billion ...cant deny that number....i await my inner self to gain more insight of me....of what and how much i care to dare ...in the meanwhile we all have jobs to do...9 to 5 (as they say)

Lets not be dormant and wait to be hit in our lives

the newspapers and magazines are carrying articles of upto 30% fake currency floating in India, TV channels are sensationalizing the approaching Taliban where defence experts point out that within 1 and 2 years they would be right at our borders....so with the combine of the US , Afghan and Pakistani forces unable to contain them at the Afghan borders and a small area like the SWAT valley, how will we contain them with our borders spanning across Gujarat, Punjab, J &K...are we just waiting expecting things to change by themselves...lets say sitting in Gurgaon and Mumbai, Ahemdabad, Amritsar, Chandigarh...we are the easy ones ...why because clearly some of the elements form within have helped...are helping and with the military might becoming significantly a factor in the equation (us under more threat than ever), these and more elements can at best be forced to comply and dare i suggest that they would only be too willing...so the threat can spread much faster and may not take the 24 month time that we think we might have. Also see the number of parties seeking to divide the country further into regions as a part of their election manifesto, the number of districts where the quasi government of naxals exists the connect as i mentioned before between Al Quaida, Let, LTTE, ULFA, trying to encircle us from top to the bottom of our shores with terrorism, naxalism, regionalism ....
Are we not just sitting ducks ? just waiting to be hit?
it is therefore important to find a voice and consolidate the strength from within...in an organized way, working intelligently with all elements of the system, with enhancing the core strengths and attempting to win over the deficiencies in the system to our side.
We need a strong new face to the world...a face of over a billion strong people...before I go on what, why and whens...what do you think?

Are we the weak country - an easy target and will always be ?

saw this in the newspaer a couple of weeks ago, that we do not have the whereabouts to control our enemies across the borders and their support structures that keep them alive. Clearly the US does not want us to engage least they loose their precious hold on the Afghanistan front as well as the chances of China coming in. So what do we do ? the threat from across the borders will continue to grow and with passing time the will of the government will dissapte too, strengthening the resolve of the terrorists ..well penetrated into the India fabric already...see the links with LTTE, Naxals, ULFA, with active help from the soils of Bangladesh, Burma, China and with Nepal also tilting away...whats the solution?
Their is one, its in the 1 Billion people...its in a framework, platform that I want to be building to....want your views on this first ...pls respond

Satyam - 2009 could be a year that changed it all

SATYAMS episode woke us all up as a rude awakening. Prima facia all point to the degree of corporate governance that exists and one fears that as the 2 law suits filed against (its just a beginning) in the US, will open the Pandora’s box of loopholes in accounting practices and day to day documentation and more. Laws are bound to go stricter and so will in all probability a few more Enron’s surface in the India Incs cupboard. Bad news if that were to be in the year which in all it probability is leading to be the worst of the currents recession. So really bad news for the image and FDI…the foreign media is already speculating that to happen. What is then bound to happen will be some set of governing rules that lead to the ground level documentation rolling up to the books of accounting , maybe a form of SOX in its Indian avatar. Can’t be far from the original format as the clients are mostly US and Europe based and companies will be hard pressed to explain their current governing strutuctures today, for their current clients and more so as they reach out to grab a pie of the existing Satyams clients. Over 185 of the fortune 500 companies.

“Sox”, or the general approach focuses on extensive documentation of all processes and insists on creating standards to calibrate all new process with the core. The general impact in dealing with SOX compliance in the past is, its exposes hidden inefficiencies in the system which are both a compliance and a threat to the profitability. This is bound to put pressure on the corporations to be more process efficient ..

“ Efficiency’ then is money saved / money earned or simply is environmentally green…and that’s where corporate India needs to be heading to. An efficient DNA driven standards and scalable in its design. Connecting all the dots if we were…really efficiency is reached through standard process , automation (remember the IBM ads today) and scientific documentation.

Hope the year proves to be a quantum jump ahead …like all legacies, it will not be easy to dispense away with but a move in the right direction will prevent another 53000 people scared for their jobs, investors not having to lose their shirts and clients not stuck with a bad market and a worst vendor.

National Tragedy

It is a national tragedy to see how an incident like the Mumbai terror has altered the psyche of a society not so long ago charged up with dreams of being an economic powerhouse to a “fragile nerve” people, looking over their shoulders to see if their current life is secured. There is a visible deep sense of sadness that one can almost touch across the spectrum. Recession loomimg large now seem even larger .We forgot that while the aspirations of the Indian people fuelled by individual success stories plastered all across by the media has been a catalyst but we remain an island surrounded by hostile nations as Pakistan, China, Bangaldesh. Also the inept leadership, thoroughly corrupt and near versioned to itself has no idea on how to harness this huge energy release that can propel India to be a true superpower. Instead we see them in cahoots with the criminal elements who in turn are experiencing a thrust to play a larger role by the organized terror groups globally. Outfits well financed, technologically advanced and with highly motivated ranks seek to run a pseudo governments by themselves across the borders. So, then who do we turn to ? Since the weak kneed response to the hijacking of the Indian Airline flight almost 10 years ago, we have been accepted as a society of mild, if not cowardly people, self centered, corrupt, clinging desperately to the garb of peace loving people while being hostile within ourselves drawing blood in the name of religion, castes , sex and class. In turn our leadership has spared no efforts to divide us too on the same basis of religion, region, caste. As we look back we see only a skeleton of what we were or what we could have become. Is it then surprising that Naxalism has taken roots across the country in more than 58 districts (most are a group of oppressed people) trying to gain their own identity in their current lifetime.
Indian youth today have become common fodder to devious groups of disruptive elements. We call ourselves the youngest nation on earth. if only we had the process and integrity to deal with the youth and enable them reach their full potential. Our leaders are untrained to look beyond their personal tomorrow and the party’s 5 years of survival. A country where majority of productive time of the government is spent on elections of some kind, a mad rush to plunder as much before their political term is over and the rest positioning themselves as saviors to some group, community , region or religion, then are we not poised for disaster? a social upheaval? and so, are we not and will continue to be a soft target for foreign terrorists and internal terror groups ? When have we as Indians stood up and said, “NOT ACCEPTABLE”. Probably now for the first time. Their again a great victory to the wide coverage from the media.
Should I not be responsible to my society and be a rightful owner of a healthy secure and prosperous life? Is being a citizen of a terrorized society deprives me of my right to leave behind a legacy of value for my children and family ?
We see today visible spasms of anger within the society, as the world watched as 10 men held the countries financial capital to ransom for 60 hours (we were lucky this time as none of the rdx bombs blew) and a country of over 1.0 billion people.
Surely we can as individuals and groups of intelligent thinking people can “smart”, use the technology and reach out to more like minded angry, intelligent and patriotic Indians to create a powerhouse out of the 1 billion people that we today call, “India”.
An Idea of no tolerance to corruption, religion bias ,geographical bias , coupled with hard work, smart branding, creating a structure, where the human mind and technology integrates to form a powerful think tank…”Power India”.
A society that is fearless, responsible, has the depth to lead the world and a way of Indianess that fosters rich culture, a constant search and research for efficiency and a nurturer of human values, a birthplace for future leadership.
